An orientation is the first step for those interested in accessing Cineworks’ production equipment, studio and/or post-production facilities. Group orientations are currently held every second Tuesday at 5:00pm and last about 30 min. The orientation consists of a brief overview of Cineworks and its programs as well as a tour of the facilities. Attendance is on a drop-in basis and there is no charge to attend, however we ask that you make sure to arrive on time!
Group orientations are held in the Cineworks Studio:
(#300, 1131 Howe Street, Vancouver, back lane entrance)
Next group orientation dates:
Tuesday, March 13, 2012, 5 p.m.
Tuesday, March 27, 2012, 5 p.m.
If you cannot make it to one of these group orientations, please contact Cineworks Facilities and Equipment Manager Jon Ornoy to schedule an individual orientation

Big thank yous to Cineworks Board member Rob Simpson and Cineworks member John Woods for their ongoing volunteering. They have helped out in countless ways, but just name a few of their recent good deeds, we now have unjammed BL mags, a newly functioning C-stand, and an idea of which of our super-8 cameras work! Not to mention, they have been pretty fun company.
Check out this video of us playing with the anamorphic projector lens we found!

First, a HUGE thank you to Cineworks members/volunteers/friends; Michael Ratcliffe, Aaron Mallin and Sharon Kahanoff for helping to clean up the equipment room last week!
Look! you can see the floor!!!
But we aren’t done yet! I am looking for volunteers to help out Wednesday – Friday, February 9-11th, noon to 6. We will be moving the gear into the studio, doing a quick inventory, then moving it back in to the Equipment Room. If you are free send Megan and email at cineworkspost at gmail dot com.
